Losing Hope

Introducing Isabel Lenka.

The familial has won out over the conceptual: we have decided on the name Isabel Lenka instead of Isabel Hope. However, according to my idiosyncrataic and retroactively assigned etymology, Isabel comes from the Croatian word "izbavi" which means redemption. In this way the loss of Hope does not erase the "weak messianic power" that this little one has been endowed with...and everyone is happy.
